Steven Debol, M.D., Ph.D.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Debol is an Assistant Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, and the Director of Cytopathology at the Veterans' Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). Dr. Debol received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota (1999) and his Ph.D. in Microbiology also from the University of Minnesota (1995). He was a resident in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology at Hennepin County Medical Center from 1999-2000 and completed his residency at the University of Minnesota (2002) after the two institutions formed a combined program. He then completed a fellowship in Cytopathology (2004). Certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic & Clinical pathology (2004), and Cytopathology (2004), he is involved in resident teaching in Surgical Pathology, Autopsy Pathology, and Cytology at the VAMC.
